Teacher Assistant Position Description

Timothy Christian School, a Kindergarten – 8th grade Christian Schools International-accredited school, is seeking a full-time Fifth/Sixth Grade Teacher Assistant to support our combination classroom. This individual will work alongside the classroom teachers to provide a Christ-centered education that nurtures students’ academic, spiritual, and social growth. All candidates should strive to model Christ and participate actively in the Christian church community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teachers with instruction, ensuring students receive individualized support.
• Support classroom management and student engagement in a positive, faith-based learning environment.
• Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning objectives.
• Prepare and organize classroom materials as needed.
• Foster a Christ-centered classroom culture that reflects the values of Timothy Christian School.

Qualifications:

Professional:

• Experience working with elementary-age children in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for Christian education and student development.

Spiritual:

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Active participation in a Christian church community.
• Agreement with Timothy Christian School’s Statement of Faith.
• A heart for supporting students in both academic and spiritual growth.
