Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Bartender / Server to join our team in Mauston. The ideal candidate will have a joy of serving great food options, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere. As a Bartender / Server you will be responsible for customer service for the bar and tables(when no other server), crafting delicious beverages, providing an outstanding guest experience, and maintaining a clean and organized bar and floor area.
Must be available t work Saturday, Sunday and Monday shifts. Average hourly earnings includes both hourly wage and tips.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Operate Toast POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including regular cleaning of glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations while handling food and beverages.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels of liquor, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during banquets or catering events to ensure seamless service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following proper cash handling procedures.
Experience
- Previous bartending experience in a fast-paced restaurant is required.
- Familiarity with food service operations and knowledge of food handling practices is essential.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Basic math skills for managing tabs, processing payments, and conducting cash handling duties.
