Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of food and drink options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; bus tables promptly to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols to uphold health standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
• Demonstrate knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage service to provide expert recommendations.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred for better understanding of menu offerings.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and strong communication abilities.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in fine dining settings or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
