Shape precision parts. Grow your craft. At the Timken Aurora Bearing facility, your day starts at the machine. You’ll review the print, set up a Mazak, Haas, Okuma, or Doosan, and turn bar stock into finished parts. Some moments call for programming new paths; others mean dialing in offsets and feeds, then proving out the first piece. You’ll check quality at regular intervals, document the setup for approval, and keep the operation running smoothly through the last part of the run. What you’ll do Program and/or operate CNC lathes and mills to machine parts from bar stock, including I.D./O.D. turning, facing, chamfering, grooving, and drilling to meet print requirements.Select and change arbors, fixtures, speeds, inserts, and tooling per blueprint specifications.Run first-piece, verify quality, make necessary adjustments, and complete all paperwork to secure setup approval.Load parts, cycle machines, and perform in-process inspections at set intervals; adjust as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and finish.Maintain machine health, including checking and adjusting fluid levels.Surface grind and re-sharpen arbor teeth as required.
