At Timken’s Aurora Bearing facility, we’re looking for a CNC professional who thrives on accuracy, keeps machines in peak condition, and pursues continuous improvement—especially on afternoon/second shift.
The MissionCreate precision parts on CNC lathes and mills while holding print-defined characteristics. You’ll program or operate equipment, validate first-piece quality, and manage repeatability through disciplined in-process checks.
How You’ll Execute- Program and/or run CNC equipment to machine I.D./O.D. features from bar stock, including facing, chamfering, grooving, and drilling.
- Choose and swap arbors, fixtures, inserts, speeds/feeds, and tooling per blueprint specs.
- Produce first-piece parts, make offset/tool changes to hit tolerances, and complete paperwork for set-up approval.
- Load parts, cycle machines, check at designated intervals, and adjust to maintain quality throughout the operation.
- Keep machines production-ready: monitor fluid levels and perform routine care.
- Surface grind and re-sharpen arbor teeth as needed.
- Afternoon/2nd-shift opportunities available.
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
- Compensation starts at $21.50/hour (experience-based) with a $1.50/hour differential for 2nd shift.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ideally 1 year operating CNC machinery in manufacturing; set-up experience preferred.
- Background with Hardinge lathes and/or HAAS, Mazak, Ganesh, Doosan equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency with gages and micrometers and confidence reading blueprints.
