Join our 20,000 teammates across 46 countries and start contributing on day one. At Timken Aurora Bearing Company, you’ll support our Aircraft department while upholding our high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

What a day looks like

You arrive ready to build parts that keep aircraft moving safely. You review work instructions, sign out the required gauges from Q.A., and set them to print specifications. After a safety check—Lock Out/Tag Out verified and your area clean—you begin the first setup of the day.

  • Presses: Select and change press dies, pins, and stake, stamp, and fit fixtures; install shims when needed. Adjust hydraulic pressure and stroke length to spec.
  • Laser Marker: Choose and change fixtures, plates, rods, and spacers as needed; load the correct program.
  • Ink Jet: Change format, adjust track and speed, and switch between rotary or track positions.
  • Electro Etch: Select and change pins and pads, set parameters, and use the correct solution.
  • Ovens: Set temperatures and timer values to the required ranges.
  • Fit: Configure fixtures, pins, and shims for proper assembly.
  • 2-Pc Swage: Select and change dies and pins; install bushings.
  • Swage (Spherical Inserts): Change dies, pins, shims, and springs for accurate swaging.

With your setup complete, you run the first-piece part, verify fit, center, stake, stamp, and markings—visually, by touch, and with gauges—and make adjustments until the component meets print. You document for setup approval, then load parts, cycle equipment, and perform checks at prescribed intervals, fine-tuning as needed to maintain quality. You move parts to and from your work area, scale as required, wash parts before running, and keep all machine fluid levels maintained. Throughout, you communicate clearly with your lead or supervisor, promptly report anything unusual, and model reliability with strong attendance and punctuality.
