Job Description
Title: Fitting Fabrication Technician
Location: Timewell, IL / Golden, IL
Reports To: Fitting Fabrication Supervisor
Job Summary:
A Fitting Fabrication Technician manufactures dual wall fittings and special order items that require special fabrication. The technician reports to and is managed by the fitting fabrication supervisor. They are required to keep a safe and clean working environment. They are required to meet and maintain good levels of production and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Keep a working knowledge of our fabrication capabilities to succeed and avoid failures.
- Assist in the cutting and grinding of materials that are used to put fittings together.
- Use of hand tools and portable power tools.
- Use of saws. Table saw, band saw and hand held power saw.
- Training on plastic welding.
- Once trained, The Technician assists in the welding and finishing of product using extruder welding guns with built in heat blowers.
- Daily communication with fab supervisor.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Clean work areas daily.
Occasional Duties:
- Work with and provide items for the Marketing Department.
- Corrective actions on safety issues.
- Review and improved fabrication processes.
- Operate fork lift.
- Heavy lifting up to 60 – 70lbs.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Physical requirements include some heavy lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling and twisting.
- Recommended experience with power tools and saws.
- Recommended experience with welding and fabrication.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
