At 6:00 AM, you step onto the shop floor, touch base with the Plant Foreman and your Assigned Fitter, and review drawings and customer specs for the day’s builds. You prep, set up, and execute Flux-Cored Arc welding with an emphasis on precise back-gouging, laying down code-compliant welds that meet ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and specific customer requirements. Throughout the shift, you log labor accurately, keep your area clean, and prepare each segment for inspection.
