Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Duration: Full Time
Summary:
Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
- The supervisor will be on the floor providing supervision and working with materials/products 80% of the time, with 20% of the time spent on office duties.
- Maintain department housekeeping.
- Training of all quality Inspectors
- Create a positive team atmosphere within the department.
- Provide leadership by example to the departmental team
- Responsibilities, as assigned by the Quality Manager, will include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Carries out inspection and test activities in accordance with established quality plans, engineering specifications, and procedures to determine that the specified requirements for the product have been met.
- Performs dimensional and visual inspection and/or testing of materials and products to determine compliance.
- Records the results, which provide evidence that the product has been inspected and/or tested.
- These records should show clearly whether the product has passed or failed in accordance with established criteria.
- The supervisor is required to handle any nonconforming product in accordance with established work instructions and other quality system procedures.
- Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Customer specifications.
- Must have working knowledge of all industry welding codes and standards.
- Working knowledge of Nondestructive Examinations and Powder Coating.
- Must be able to use a variety of precision and non-precision inspection and test equipment.
- The inspector is expected to interface with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel and provide support, if necessary, in interpreting and defining product quality criteria.
- This position may also require operating an overhead or jib crane.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to interact with others in the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the Quality Control Department in all aspects, i.e., supervisory, quality, maintenance, accountability, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Quality Control Supervisor.
- Experience with calibration of inspection and test equipment preferred.
- Experience in an ISO 9001 environment preferred.
- Non-Destructive Testing Certification preferred.

Pay: $80,415.96 - $82,963.30 per year
