As a Host/Hostess, you set the tone for our guests as you lead them to their table for a delectable meal.

With a prime location in Milwaukee's Theater District, Saint Kate serves as a creative hub for the city, where every aspect of the hotel is inspired by music, painting, sculpture, and design. As a part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, we engage a diverse audience of theater enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and entertainment seekers.
What you will be doing:
- Greet guests, check reservations, and log arrivals.
- Answer phones and manage voicemail.
- Escort guests to their table, provide menus, and introduce their server.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Handle reservations and arrangements for restaurant functions.
- Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed.
- Help with BEOs for private functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Afternoon/Night Availability
- Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
- Ability to read, speak, and write the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations.
- Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items and multi-task.
- Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests.
- Ability to work POS system, Open Table computer and cash handling experience preferred.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
