Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Patient Scheduling Specialist to join our dynamic team at our South Burlington office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointments and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice(s).
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient appointments for our healthcare providers.
- Utilize dental scheduling software to maintain accurate appointment records.
- Verify patient information and insurance details prior to appointments.
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone systems to confirm or reschedule appointments.
- Assist with front desk operations, including greeting patients and managing inquiries.
- Answers phones in a timely manner with limited use of voicemail and respond in a timely manner (schedule/reschedule appointments, handle referrals from other dental offices, financial/billing questions, emergency calls from patients etc.).
- Dismisses patients to include the collection of payment for treatment provided, answer any insurance or billing questions, and schedule future appointments.
- Sends out appropriate patient letters and pre-treatment estimates when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to legally work in the United States.
