Veterinary Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely restrain dogs and cats for examinations and treatments
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
• Monitor hospitalized patients and accurately document treatments
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
• Obtain patient histories and communicate effectively with clients
• Take radiographs and assist with dental procedures
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital and ensure equipment is properly sterilized
• Stock supplies and help keep the clinic running efficiently
• Work collaboratively with doctors and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care

Qualifications:

• Previous veterinary assistant experience is preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
• Weekend availability is required

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
