Position Overview: As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Your responsibilities will include assisting in animal care, managing patient records, preparing examination rooms, and providing excellent client service. We focus heavily on communication and providing convenient, affordable, and flexible care for pets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries
- Provide direct care to animals, including handling pets and medications
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Administer medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision
- Maintain patient records and ensure proper documentation
- Answer client questions and provide compassionate support
- Assist in managing inventory and clinic cleanliness
- Perform laboratory tests and handle medical samples
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is preferred
- A passion for animal care and welfare
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
