Job Description:
Timber Cuts Tree Service is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious Groundsman to join our team. As a vital member of our tree care crew, the Groundsman supports tree removal, trimming, and cleanup operations by handling tools, preparing job sites, assisting climbers, and ensuring debris is safely and efficiently removed. No experience required—we’ll train the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn!
Responsibilities:
- Assist climbers and arborists during tree removal and pruning operations
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, blowers, ropes, and other equipment
- Set up job sites including signs, cones, and safety zones
- Drag, chip, and dispose of branches, logs, and other debris
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure job safety and efficiency
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (preferred)
- Experience with tree care or landscaping a plus but not required
