Under general supervision, assists in the general project management of building related activities and resources to ensure production projections are accurate and houses are completed on time and to quality standards. Monitors subcontractor progress.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Construction Manager and general project management of building related activities/ resources to ensure production projections are accurate and houses are completed on time and to quality standards.  
  • Monitors the progress of subcontractors. Ensures subcontractors have latest options and diagrams. Instrumental in resolving issues.  
  • Obtains permits, plots, and plans for inspections. Responsible for walking with inspectors and ensuring inspections are complete. Coordinates with subcontractors to correct noted items.     
  • May assist in materials ordering and scheduling of subcontractors, from excavation to completion in a timely manner. Reviews schedules to minimize delays caused by weather, vandalism, material and manpower shortages.
  • Unlocks houses for subcontractors. Meets with Construction Manager to coordinate schedule for day.

Requirements

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • High School (GED) plus a minimum of four (4) years related experience in the homebuilding industry.
  • Must be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints and plans.
  • Experience analyzing and understanding local and national building codes.
  • Reliable Vehicle with Valid Drivers’ License and Auto Insurance.
  • OSHA 30 card.(within 3 months of hire)
  • Experience with project management and database systems; such as BuildPro.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.

Pay based on experience. Pay Range: $78,000-$90,000


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position provides supervisory duties when sub-contractors are onsite to oversee project activities.

Microsoft Outlook: Open and reply to e-mails, open folders, set and reply to calendar appointments.

Basic Word Skills: Open document, change font, copy text, create columns check spelling, change margin, align text, set tabs

Excel – Intermediate Skills: Begin formula, edit formula, sort range, insert row, Use SUM function, align text, preview worksheet, move between worksheets, go to cell, move formula, change column width, add new worksheet, freeze titles, add footer, name range, add border, filter list, insert page break, change page orientation, and center text over columns.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid Drivers’ License and Auto Insurance Required

Physical Demands:

Lifting/Carrying: Under 10 lbs = Occasional; Up to 25 lbs = Occasional; Up to 50 lbs = Rarely 

Salary : $78,000 - $90,000
