Senior Manager Procurement

Tillman FiberCo is building a network with future-forward technologies, systems and network architecture that will be ultimately capable of delivering 40Gbps to customers. We have an incredible opportunity for a Senior Manager of Procurement.

Requirements and Responsibilities

• Manage RFP process for FTTH projects.
• Manage vendor activities and maintain both new and existing vendor relationships, including vendor selection, contract management of the Vendors, controlling costs and ultimately reducing vendor-related risks.
• Ensuring that we and our vendors comply with all contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with GC’s (Engineering, Construction, and I&R), creating a strong reliable network of partnerships. Grow funnel of GCs for future FTTH projects.
• Work with local TFC Construction teams to develop future best practices.
• Management oversight of strategic vendor partnerships.
• Engage with our construction partners, subcontractors, in- house personnel, and key customer contacts to coordinate and manage local engineering and construction efforts to successfully execute the project. Utilize knowledge and experience, serving as subject matter expert for contract negotiation.
• Determine the capital resources, equipment, and tools needed to complete each project.
• Manage Purchase Order process for project needs, requesting PO’s, receiving PO’s and managing OCNR.
• Communicate status and issues at various levels of the transport team in a clear and concise manner. Ensure that issues are properly documented and maintained.
• Reviews service delivery to ensure that agreed targets are met cost effectively and prepares proposals to meet forecast changes in the level or type of service.
• Negotiates with relevant parties in respect of disruptions and major amendments to the provision of services.
• Aids in the evaluation of outside service providers or contractors; helps to provide direction in the development of tailored services; participates in contract terms and condition negotiations.
• Experience demonstrating stakeholder relationship management.
• Understanding of marketing led / consumer brands and the importance of customer experience. Able to demonstrate working in a service orientated environment and the importance of this in product development.
• Will understand the end-to-end workings of our business and the impact of key trading and operational decisions.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in the telecommunications industry with outside plant and project management experience, including aerial and underground construction (ie directional boring, trenching, and plowing)
• 3 years of Telecom Vendor Management experience
• Ability to manage multi-million-dollar service level agreements.
• Proficiency in using project tracking software.
• Ability to identify and understand complex problems/issues and develop solutions.
• Thorough understanding of project management methodologies and tools
• Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously.
