As a Clinician with TFCC, you’ll play a key role in helping clients involved in Aid and Assist, Behavioral Health Court, and Civil Commitment achieve positive outcomes through person-centered care and community collaboration.

About the Role

In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with the Aid and Assist Case manager and Behavioral Health Court Case manager to support clients that are court ordered into these programs. You’ll provide Behavioral Health Assessments, Community Consultations, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specialty court setting.

You’ll also offer ongoing support and supervision to the case managers, as well as be required to attend court when they are not available or when it is deemed necessary by the courts. Additionally, you will provide Monthly reports to the State for these programs.

As a Civil Commitment Investigator team member and Court Monitor, you will be responsible to monitor Civil Commitments and their outcomes, report to the state, and occasionally do Civil Commitment Investigations as a part of the Clinical Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate activities across three specialty court programs, ensuring effective service delivery and appropriate resource allocation.
  • Complete Behavioral Health Assessments (including ASAM criteria) and recommend appropriate levels of care.
  • Complete Community Consultations  and recommend appropriate levels of care.
  • Partner with courts, defense attorneys, jail staff, law enforcement, parole/probation, and community partners to ensure integrated care.
  • Conduct Civil Commitment Investigations and Monitor court activities for commitments.
  • Develop familiarity with community resources to identify service gaps and guide the use of specialty court funding.
  • Supervise Case Managers assigned to the specialty courts program.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Current QMHP status (Qualified Mental Health Professional)
  • Supervisory or management experience

Preferred:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • NMI Investigator Certification
  • CADC-I Certification
  • Experience working with the court or legal system, or within jail/prison settings
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
