Description

TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options.

Love working with food but tired of nights, weekends, and holidays? At Cravings Café, you can enjoy a consistent daytime schedule while doing work that truly makes a difference. We’re more than a café. We’re a vocational program where adults with intellectual disabilities learn valuable job skills, build independence, and take pride in their accomplishments. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, patience, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills to our team. Someone who can think on their feet, take initiative, and find solutions when challenges arise.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. $21/hr.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in reaching their personal goals and developing job skills.
• Teach and assist with food preparation, baking, portioning, packaging, labeling, serving, and cleaning.
• Encourage individuals to participate in tasks and become more independent.
• Recognize challenges, think critically, and find practical solutions.
• Adapt tasks and teaching approaches to meet different abilities and learning styles.
• Manage time effectively and adjust priorities in a busy kitchen environment.
• Take initiative, anticipate what needs to be done, and follow through on responsibilities.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, organization, and quality standards.
• Work as part of a team to create a positive, supportive, and productive environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently.
• Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.
• Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changes, and remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to teach, encourage, and support individuals with different abilities.
• Ability to follow directions, accept feedback, and work collaboratively.
• Food service experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
