What You’ll Do

  • Program, configure, and optimize fire alarm control panels for proper operation and full code compliance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across fire alarm systems
  • Install systems—wiring, panels, detectors, notification devices—per all applicable codes
  • Run testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
  • Respond to emergency service calls and resolve malfunctions quickly
  • Keep clean, accurate documentation on all work

What You Bring

  • 4 years hands-on installing, programming, and servicing fire alarm systems
  • Strong programming and troubleshooting on panels like Notifier, FireLite, Gamewell-FCI, Kidde, Potter, and similar
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • FDNY S-98 Certificate of Fitness (required, or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Preferred: OSHA 30, NYC SST Site Safety Training, NICET certification

The Work

  • Field-based across NYC and Nassau County.
  • Commercial and industrial environments—physical work including lifting, bending, working at heights, and operating hand and power tools in varying conditions.
  • Full-time, daytime hours with a paid on-call rotation.

Salary : $35 - $50
