What You’ll Do
- Program, configure, and optimize fire alarm control panels for proper operation and full code compliance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across fire alarm systems
- Install systems—wiring, panels, detectors, notification devices—per all applicable codes
- Run testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Respond to emergency service calls and resolve malfunctions quickly
- Keep clean, accurate documentation on all work
What You Bring
- 4 years hands-on installing, programming, and servicing fire alarm systems
- Strong programming and troubleshooting on panels like Notifier, FireLite, Gamewell-FCI, Kidde, Potter, and similar
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- FDNY S-98 Certificate of Fitness (required, or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Preferred: OSHA 30, NYC SST Site Safety Training, NICET certification
The Work
- Field-based across NYC and Nassau County.
- Commercial and industrial environments—physical work including lifting, bending, working at heights, and operating hand and power tools in varying conditions.
- Full-time, daytime hours with a paid on-call rotation.
