Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers promptly with a friendly and professional attitude
- Take and process orders accurately using POS systems
- Pack and serve food items according to company standards and food safety guidelines
- Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy in payments and change
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and drive sales
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and service stations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with light food prep and support kitchen staff when needed
- Bus tables and maintain a clean, organized front-of-house area
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions (Compliance Section)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–40 pounds
- Frequent use of hands for POS operation, food handling, and cleaning tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
- Must follow all workplace safety standards in accordance with federal OSHA regulations applicable in Pennsylvania
- Proper use of cleaning chemicals and adherence to “Right-to-Know” safety guidelines
Compensation & Scheduling
- Competitive hourly pay plus tips (based on experience)
- Overtime pay at 1.5× hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week, in accordance with Pennsylvania law
- Flexible scheduling (part-time and full-time opportunities available)
Breaks & Workplace Policies (PA Compliance)
- Breaks are provided in accordance with applicable federal and Pennsylvania guidelines
- Employees under 18 will receive required meal breaks
- For employees 18 , breaks may be provided per company policy
- Short breaks (under 20 minutes) are paid; meal breaks are unpaid if fully relieved of duties
- All wages are paid in compliance with the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and Wage Payment laws
