We are looking for swim instructors to join our team this summer. This position is perfect for high school and college students or adults who want a secondary job. This role offers an excellent opportunity to share your expertise in swimming and physical education while promoting water safety and confidence among students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups across various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring participants
- Help with set-up and tear-down
- Provide summaries and advice to parents on kids progress in lessons
Requirements
- Available in the evenings Monday-Friday (we will work with you to schedule around summer vacation plans)
- Work well with kids. Have fun, have patience.
Preferred
- Prior experience as a Lifeguard, competitive swimmer, swim instructor, or swim team coach
- Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certifications
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques clearly
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to handle diverse student needs effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate learners of all ages
