Senior Accountant - GREAT role for audit backgrounds!

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the planning, coordination and execution of the annual and quarterly external reporting processes
• Performing accounting research with regards accounting and regulatory standards
• Supporting auditors and ensuring compliance with SOX standards and requirements
• Assisting with preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including consolidating reporting information from global teams
• Assisting in the implementation of new accounting standards and company policies
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings, Proxy statements, statutory financial statements, earnings releases, earnings presentations, earnings call scripts, and investor conference materials
• Preparing share-based compensation entries and reconciliation for month-end close and provide equity-related analysis
• Assisting in the preparation of portions of the GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists
• Assisting with timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including management, board of directors, auditors, and regulatory agencies

Requirements include:

• Bachelors or advance degree in accounting or finance
• 2 years of experience in public accounting - mid to larger sized firms preferred
• Experience with auditing or working in and/or around SEC reporting requirements a plus
• Ability to research, understand and summarize technical accounting literature
• Strong attention to detail as well as written and verbal communication skills
• CPA preferred, but not required
