Extremely RARE opportunity to work at a TOP 5 LONG ISLAND COMPANY! Our client, a highly successful, extremely prominent and growing organization located in Nassau County (on-site) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their financial accounting and reporting team. NOTE: This is a privately held company, so there is no requirement for SEC reporting.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant assists with the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process, ensuring that financial statements comply with U.S. GAAP or IFRS standards and meet strict internal and external reporting deadlines.
- Manage full-cycle multi-entity consolidations, post consolidating journal entries, and review balance sheet and income statement variance analyses.
- Prepare and review intercompany accounting reconciliations and top-side elimination entries.
- Prepare complete consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and related footnote disclosures.
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, compiling audit packages and supporting schedules.
- Research and document technical accounting positions under GAAP/IFRS and monitor regulatory or standard updates.
- Modernize reporting workflows and strengthen internal controls under Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Three to five-plus years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, with a background in corporate consolidations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise financial reporting software systems.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
