Job Description

As a Clinical Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. You will be responsible for providing administrative support duties to include assisting with department process improvement, back-up to the manager, maintaining supplies, coordinating schedules and meetings, and participating in training/in-services for clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily operations of the clinic.
  • Keep manager informed of any issues with patients, staff, or physicians that are beyond their comfort level or are questionable.
  • Order departmental and medical supplies.
  • Responsible for equipment maintenance/repair.
  • Monitor quality control standards (immunization logs, waived testing, drug sample logs, equipment sterilization logs, etc.).
  • Resolve less complicated patient, staff, and physician issues.
  • Assist with evaluating associate performance and recommend merit increases (manager disciplines).
  • Report to the manager any associate non-compliance with approved policies.
  • Monitor associate work schedule and PTO requests – maintain appropriate staff coverage.
  • Ensure NCHD referrals are appropriate.
  • Assess departmental staffing needs; actively participate in resourcing efforts.
  • FOLLOW CHRISTUS Health guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Use oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission.
  • Maintain established CHRISTUS Health policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
  • Implement job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission and Code of Ethics and supportive of CHRISTUS Health's cultural diversity objectives.
  • Support and adhere to CHRISTUS Health Service Guarantee.
  • Perform other related work as required.

Requirements

Education/Skills

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting
  • Previous healthcare management experience preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • RN License in state of employment or compact
  • BLS

Work Schedule:

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
