Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Data Retention and Backup Specialist for a 30 to 60-day engagement. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with the firm's policies by identifying, backing up, and relocating essential data to long-term storage. The successful candidate will use a predefined data list to systematically search a variety of corporate systems and applications, safeguarding files as per organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize a predefined list to identify and search for data across multiple firm systems and repositories.
- Back up relevant files and data in accordance with the firm's retention policy.
- Transfer backed-up data to designated long-term storage locations, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Work with a variety of corporate applications, including but not limited to practice and document management systems.
- Maintain a clear understanding of client relationships to ensure proper data handling and retention.
- Prepare and deliver weekly status reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify data requirements and address any issues encountered during the process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with corporate applications, especially practice and document management systems.
- Solid understanding of client relationships and the importance of data confidentiality.
- Experience in data backup, archival, and retention best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established procedures and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
