Marketing Specialist

PEOPLEfirst Talent & Retention Consulting
York, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 6/18/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/13/2026

Who You Are:

Do you enjoy turning complex or “unsexy” ideas, products, or services into content people actually want to engage with? Do you prefer being hands-on with creating, editing, and shipping content, not just planning it? Do you find yourself noticing when a presentation feels cluttered, inconsistent, or just doesn't look quite right?

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

We're looking for a Marketing Specialist to join the Marketing & Business Development team of a

globally respected intellectual property law firm that works with some of the most recognized

brands in the world.

This role sits at the intersection of marketing, business development, design, reporting, and

communications. It's a role for someone who enjoys creating polished presentations, supporting proposals, producing insightful reports, and helping a high-performing team execute at a consistently high

standard.

Because of that, we're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and

capable of taking ownership without needing constant direction.

What This Role Actually Looks Like:

This is not a traditional social media marketing role. And it's not purely a design role either.

It's a hands-on marketing position that blends:

·.  Presentation and proposal development

·      Marketing collateral creation

·      Reporting and analytics

·       CRM and business development support

·      Content and communications support

·      Event and marketing coordination

In other words...

You'll be the person helping transform information into polished, client-ready materials while ensuring the firm's marketing and business development efforts run smoothly behind the scenes.

A large portion of the role focuses on presentations, proposals, reporting, and maintaining the professional standards that the firm is known for.

Some of the Things You'll Be Doing

Creating Presentations & Marketing Materials

  • Developing client-facing presentations, pitch decks, sponsorship materials, and attorney speaking presentations
  • Building branded templates and marketing collateral
  • Ensuring materials are visually polished, professionally formatted, and aligned with brand standards
  • Helping translate complex information into materials that are clear, engaging, and easy to understand

Supporting Business Development

  • Assisting with proposals, pitches, and client development initiatives
  • Supporting research and competitive intelligence efforts
  • Helping create materials that support the firm's growth objectives
  • Working closely with leadership and attorneys on high-visibility projects

Reporting, Analytics & CRM Support

  • Preparing marketing and social media reports
  • Maintaining CRM data and contact records
  • Supporting reporting for marketing campaigns, events, and business development activities
  • Helping turn data into meaningful insights and recommendations

Supporting Broader Marketing Initiatives

  • Assisting with website updates and digital marketing projects
  • Supporting content creation and marketing communications
  • Helping coordinate events, sponsorships, and speaking engagements
  • Working across teams to keep projects moving forward

Who Thrives in This Role

The people who do best here are often the ones who enjoy being the person others can rely on.

They are the kind of professionals who:

•      Take ownership and solve problems without waiting to be told what to do

•      Have strong attention to detail and pride themselves on accuracy

•      Enjoy creating polished, professional work

•      Can balance creativity with consistency and brand standards

•      Are comfortable supporting senior stakeholders and leadership teams

•      Can manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality

•      Enjoy working collaboratively while still being highly independent

You Likely Have

•      2–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, business development, marketing operations, or a related field

•      Experience creating presentations, pitch decks, proposals, reports, or client-facing materials

•      Strong PowerPoint and Canva skills

•      Experience supporting reporting, analytics, or CRM platforms

•      Excellent written communication and proofreading skills

•      Strong project management and organizational abilities

•      Experience in professional services environments such as law firms, consulting firms, financial services, accounting firms, architecture firms, agencies, or other client-service businesses is highly valued.

A Quick Reality Check

The people who thrive here are the ones who enjoy producing excellent work, taking ownership, and helping a team succeed through thoughtful execution.

The Culture

This is a team that values trust, accountability, collaboration, and professionalism.

You'll work closely with a marketing leader who believes in giving people ownership rather than micromanaging them.

The team is supportive, collaborative, and highly focused on quality. People are encouraged to contribute ideas, take initiative, and continuously improve how work gets done.

If you're someone who enjoys being trusted to own your work while contributing to meaningful projects, you'll likely feel right at home here.
