About the Role

We are seeking a data-driven Marketplace Data Analyst to help drive business performance through analytics, reporting, and strategic insights. This role will partner closely with stakeholders across Operations, Partnerships, Business Development, and Product teams to identify growth opportunities, optimize revenue performance, and support key business decisions.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, building meaningful dashboards, and translating complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations. You should enjoy solving business problems, uncovering trends, and helping leadership make informed decisions backed by data.

What You'll Do

Business & Revenue Analytics

• Analyze sales performance, pricing trends, customer behavior, and inventory allocation to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
• Evaluate business performance across multiple channels, products, and operational areas.
• Support revenue strategy initiatives through data-driven analysis and recommendations.

Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Develop and maintain recurring reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and business performance scorecards.
• Deliver both scheduled and ad hoc analyses for leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure reporting assets remain accurate, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Strategic Insights

• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through proactive analysis.
• Provide recommendations related to pricing strategies, channel performance, and market opportunities.
• Monitor industry developments and competitive activity to support strategic planning.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Collaborate with teams across Operations, Partnerships, Business Development, and Product organizations.
• Support key business initiatives by providing analytical guidance and performance measurement.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data Storytelling

• Transform complex datasets into compelling visualizations and easy-to-understand reports.
• Create presentations and dashboards that clearly communicate business performance and opportunities.
• Help stakeholders understand not only what the data shows, but why it matters.

AI-Enhanced Analytics

• Leverage modern AI tools to improve efficiency in reporting, analysis, and communication workflows.
• Validate outputs and maintain analytical rigor while utilizing automation where appropriate.
• Evaluate opportunities to improve reporting processes through emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, revenue strategy, or commercial analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong SQL experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as:
• Tableau
• Power BI
• Looker
• Sigma
• Similar reporting tools
• Ability to analyze large datasets and provide actionable business recommendations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in marketplace, e-commerce, ticketing, entertainment, retail, SaaS, or other transaction-based industries.
• Experience performing pricing analysis and revenue optimization.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, or comparable database platforms.
• Experience creating executive-facing dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI-powered productivity and analytics tools.
• Experience supporting business strategy through data-driven decision-making.
