Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, procurement, client communication, and overall project performance while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing ground-up commercial projects and be capable of leading projects independently while maintaining strong communication with clients, field teams, and internal leadership.
Key Responsibilities & Expertise
Project Leadership & Execution
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
- Lead project teams and maintain accountability for project performance
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously depending on size and complexity
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
Client & Communication Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Owners, Architects, and project stakeholders
- Lead client communication and maintain strong repeat-client relationships
- Coordinate project meetings and maintain clear communication across all parties
- Provide exceptional customer service and professional project leadership
Financial & Operational Management
- Track project budgets, cost reporting, and financial performance
- Manage change orders, pay applications, and procurement activities
- Monitor project risks and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule or cost
Field & Team Coordination
- Partner closely with Superintendents and field teams
- Coordinate subcontractors and support efficient field operations
- Conduct site visits and maintain project visibility throughout construction
Technology & Software
- Procore experience preferred
- Microsoft Project scheduling experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
Qualifications
- 8 years of Commercial Construction Project Management experience preferred
- Experience managing ground-up commercial projects
- Ability to independently run projects and “hit the ground running”
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Procore and Microsoft Project experience preferred
- Stable work history with demonstrated longevity strongly preferred
- Construction Management degree not required
