Duties
- Safely handle dogs during bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and ensuring comfort and safety at all times
- Perform pet grooming tasks including bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat brushing with precision and care
- Restrain animals gently yet effectively using proper animal restraint techniques to facilitate grooming tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist groomers with their schedules and help maintain flow within the shop.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pet bathing/grooming or dog handling is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, or heavy lifting related to animal care is beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or pets safely
