ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer, Chesapeake, VA.
Job Description: TEI is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Administrative Assistant to support daily accounting (payables/receivables) and office functions. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of financial and office processes by handling clerical tasks and providing support to the accounting and corporate teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work at a fast pace. This position is based out of the Norfolk/Chesapeake, Virginia area.
Responsibilities:
❖ Perform basic accounting tasks including basic accounts payable and receivable knowledge
❖ Assist with office duties as needed.
❖ Maintain filing systems, both physical and digital
❖ Assist with document preparation and data entry
❖ Operate office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines
❖ Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
Requirements:
❖ HS diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
❖ Should have a “team first” attitude and maintain our team atmosphere even in stressful situations
❖ Must have the ability to work under pressure and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
❖ Proficient in MS Office and data entry
❖ Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
❖ Must pass a drug screening
