TIAG is now hiring a Drafter to join the Barracks Access Control System (BACS) team in Mount Pleasant, SC, with expertise in Marine Corps technical drawings and documentation. The ideal candidate will have an awareness of military standards, specifications, and drawing practices, and will be responsible for producing, reviewing, and updating complex technical drawings in support of Marine Corps engineering and logistics programs.
This position reports onsite at our Mount Pleasant office up to 4 days per week with one remote day. This role will require a government security clearance to be processed, so US or Naturalized Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and revise detailed CAD drawings, schematics, and blueprints for Marine Corps systems, equipment, and facilities.
- Interpret complex engineering notes, calculations, and sketches to develop accurate and complete design deliverables.
- Interpret and apply MIL-STD, ASME, and ANSI standards to ensure compliance with military specifications.
- Review and validate existing Marine Corps drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain drawing databases and configuration control in accordance with DoD protocols.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and external partners to resolve design conflicts and challenges.
- Support technical documentation efforts including Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and drawing redlines.
- Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting, design technology, engineering technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of professional drafting experience, with at least 1 year focused on Marine Corps or DoD-related projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of MIL-STD-31000, MIL-DTL-31000, and other relevant military drawing standards.
- Familiarity with logistics support documentation and Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working directly with Marine Corps engineering or logistics units.
- Experience with PLM systems and drawing management tools.
- Active security clearance
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
