Regrind Operator

Primary Duties and Requirements of the Job:

Pay Range: $ $23.02 per hour dependent on experience shift premium.

• Responsible for processing scrap materials by cutting product into smaller pieces, transferring to designated scrap containers, and manually loading material onto conveyor system.
• Perform break tag relief for press operations.
• Communicate effectively and cooperate with Supervisors and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist in training other operators when authorized.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Training, Knowledge and Experience:

• Demonstrates strong electromechanical aptitude, along with solid language and mathematical skills, typically acquired through a high school diploma and/or vocational or technical training.
• Excellent communication skills combined with solid proficiency in common software tools.

Working Conditions:

• Occasionally lifts and / or carries up to 25 pounds.
• Maneuvers in, around and under factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
• Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.
• Works within an automotive component manufacturing office and laboratory setting. Exposure to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
