R&D Engineering Summer Internship
We are seeking an R&D Engineering Summer Intern to support the R&D Fluidics team with testing, prototyping, and fabrication activities. This onsite summer internship is open to local undergraduate engineering students, including a focused project involving Python development for a SCHSVS test setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in R&D brainstorms and design reviews
- Design and develop fixturing for assembly and testing using Creo CAD software
- Create, execute, and document test plans to validate design choices
- Support R&D prototyping and testing activities, including spray distribution, droplet size, velocity, and other spray characterization methods
- Manage multiple tasks and communicate progress, results, and challenges to management and key stakeholders
- Maintain accurate R&D development and testing documentation
- Demonstrate effective teamwork by sharing technical knowledge and lessons learned
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering
- Local candidates only (onsite participation required; no relocation or housing assistance provided)
- Interest in experimentation, lab testing, and hands‑on R&D work
- Strong organizational and communication skills
