Your Responsibilities
Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering department is an elite team that promotes technical and interpersonal skill development. This department is flexible and welcomes diversity of thought as they tackle projects with significant impact on both financial and operating resources in the organization.
The Manufacturing Engineer is an integral part of the Manufacturing Engineering and S2QDC Teams. This position is responsible for achieving and maintaining OEE and scrap goals for a specified area of responsibility. This person is responsible to develop and implement improvements that include equipment reliability and efficiency, technician and operator skills, and cost optimizations. This person works within the Manufacturing Engineering and S2QDC Teams to improve production and quality metrics and to provide the appropriate engineering support for the respective production area.
Key Deliverables:
The Manufacturing Engineer serves as an engaged and trusted source in the organization. Success in this role is measured by the achievement of balanced scorecard metrics including Safety, Sustainability, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost.
- Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
- Supports maintenance to initiate, develop, monitor and maintain short-term, mid-term and long-term maintenance plans, based on a thorough understanding of equipment requirements and resource availability.
- Responsible for all major technical issues on respective production areas, such as but not limited to resources coordination and management during breakdowns. Support high level maintenance activities in respective production areas during breakdowns.
- Identify and implement engineering solutions to improve overall cost of production. Performs return on investment calculations for small projects to prove out its value.
- Works with the respective team members to define and implement action plan items and Poke Yoke systems.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers, Tooling Technicians, and Engineering Specialists to implement complex engineering solutions. Understand, advocate, and adhere to all Safety, Quality, and 6S policies and standards within tk. 17. Has authority to stop processes to correct quality, safety or environmental problems, identify and place suspect product on quality hold, and to promptly notify Supervisory personnel when processes become noncompliant.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, a successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ industrial engineering or similar field required with 2 years of engineering experience preferred in manufacturing or related field.
- Travel: Occasional travel, up to 5% including international
