thyssenkrupp Materials, North America is growing, and we're hiring two (2) NEW Buyers to support our Engineered Plastics business. This is a great opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional who is both a strong team player and highly effective working independently.

What You'll Do- Quote and support sales contracts
- Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders
- Manage standard inventory through the ERP system
- Schedule material to meet inventory and supply chain objectives
- Review and process return purchase orders
- Enter credits and debits as requested
- Maintain knowledge of suppliers, pricing, lead times, and capabilities
- Build relationships with supplier inside and outside sales contacts
- Purchase against contractual agreements and support risk evaluations
- Support regions with alternatives and sourcing decisions
- Understand internal processing equipment and global supply base
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers
- Support corporate objectives (ROCE, sales, operations, purchasing)
Required
- 2-3 years minimum purchasing experience
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently on your own while collaborating with a team
- Comfortable managing details, data, and administrative tasks
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Competitive base pay: $70K-$75K
