Laundry Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team for a full-time day shift position and a part-time and on call position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments in our facility. This position requires an individual who is committed to providing high-quality laundry services while ensuring that all items are handled with care and efficiency. Providing outstanding customer service and care is an essential qualification.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper load sizes and settings for various fabrics.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments according to established procedures.
• Handle special requests for dry cleaning or delicate items with attention to detail.
• Inventory/label resident personal belonging as requested.
• Sort, deliver personal clothing to the proper closets and drawers as labeled.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspaces.
• Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while performing laundry tasks.
• Assist in training new staff members on laundry procedures as needed.

Skills

• Proficiency in laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing techniques.
• Strong cleaning skills with a focus on maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
