Our organization is growing and as we grow we need more data and billing support! The Data Integrity Specialist provides support for billing analyst by verifying, researching, and correcting data integrity issues. Producing reports for analysts, staff and supervisors to support data integrity activities and billing functions.
The ideal candidate for our Data Integrity Specialist not only has a keen eye for detailed reports but also has experience providing support to clinical staff by reviewing data entry errors and providing one on one instruction. The candidate will thrive is a varied and fast-paced environment with competing demands with many interactions with providers, outside and related agencies and OHRS staff.
Who are we? Thurston Mason Behavioral Health Administrative Organization (TMBH-ASO) and Olympic Health and Recovery Services (OHRS) is a quasi-governmental organization that is responsible for the network of behavioral health crisis services in Thurston and Mason counties, and is a licensed behavioral health agency with multiple programs assisting the most vulnerable population in our community through crisis services, jail services, hospital diversion, and housing.
Salary Range: $26.58 - $36.23 per hour, negotiable based on experience, education, and parity within the organization.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. An alternate schedule can be arranged with supervisor approval after satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
MAJOR RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Retrieves reports from multiple payors.
- Imports reports into electronic health record billing system.
- Verifies insurance coverage and service eligibility.
- Retrieves, imports and processes acknowledgement reports from payors.
- Enrolls and maintains staff credentials in WA State ProviderOne billing portal and commercial carrier billing portals.
- Processes Avatar (EHR) integrity reports to include processing errors and working with clinicians to correct data.
- Provides support and instruction for data integrity to direct service staff in collaboration with clinical staff and supervisors.
- Client account maintenance.
- Processes duplicate member worklist for correction and account merges.
- Responsible for a variety of data entry projects.
- May support and conduct software update testing and participate in staff training activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years professional experience in behavioral health or medical related areas.
- Two (2) years of administrative or data entry experience within a social service or a closely related environment.
- Experience with medical billing preferred.
- Experience with ProviderOne billing system preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.
- Ability to utilize a personal computer and successfully perform essential job functions including use of MS Office Suite and electronic health records systems.
- Satisfactory criminal background clearances.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of electronic health records systems. myAvatar PM data entry desired.
- Ability to maintain a professional, collegial manner in a fast-paced environment with competing demands with many interactions with providers, outside and related agencies and OHRS staff.
- Ability to professionally and efficiently present and convey the business of OHRS both in person and over the phone as well as in writing.
- Skilled with listening, reading and communicating information that is sensitive in nature and protected by various legal authorities and privacy laws.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is generally performed indoors and in an office environment.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Position may be eligible for hybrid work after initial training period and with approval of supervisor.
- Position may be required to provide onsite training to support staff as required and at their work site location.
- Occasional need to work extended or evening hours.
- Minimal physical exertion is required. This position will be required to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time. May be required to lift or move boxes/equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
