Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Lute Operator to join our team on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically Laborers , to ensure the proper compaction of materials for paving and construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety and quality.
Duties
- Operate roller equipment to compact soil, asphalt, and other materials on construction sites.
- Collaborate with other heavy equipment operators, including front loader trucks and dump trucks, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on roller machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Assist in the grading process by operating graders and bulldozers as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site to minimize risks and hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly rollers, with experience in loader operation being a plus.
- Familiarity with front loader trucks, dump trucks, caterpillars, graders, and bulldozers is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction site protocols and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on equipment.
