Throttle Theory Powersports is a locally owned powersports dealership in Houston, TX, looking to add a part-time Powersports Technician to support our growing service department. This role is ideal for a technician who is confident in basic service and diagnostics and is looking to grow with a new shop.
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time to start (initially 1 fixed day per week, with opportunity to expand)
- $18-28 per hour to start based off experience
- Opportunity to move into additional hours and performance-based pay as service volume increases
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oil changes on motorcycles, ATVs, go-karts, and side-by-sides
- Tire mounting and tire changes
- Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting:
- Carburetor issues
- Spark / ignition systems
- Fuel delivery issues
- General no-start and running concerns
- Performing multi-point safety inspections
- Communicating findings clearly to the shop owner
- Keeping a clean and organized work area
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience working on motorcycles, ATVs, dirt bikes, or small engines
- Comfortable diagnosing basic mechanical and electrical issues
- Able to work independently and follow shop procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Own basic hand tools (shop tools provided)
Certifications are a plus but not required. Practical experience matters more than paper.
