Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Occupational Therapy Assistant with travel required around the south Denver metro and surrounding areas. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will support patients by delivering personalized therapeutic interventions in collaboration with licensed occupational therapists. Daily tasks include assisting with rehabilitation activities, program development, home care support, and patient progress documentation. The role involves working directly with older adults in their homes and local communities to help them achieve their health and functional goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in Occupational Therapy, including implementing therapy plans and ensuring effective treatment delivery
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and strategies to support patient recovery
- Strong skills in patient care with a compassionate, client-centered approach
- Ability to assist in Program Development and create personalized therapy plans
- Experience with Home Care/outpatient settings, including understanding patient needs in residential settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Associate's degree or certification from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Colorado
- Previous experience with older adult populations is a plus
