Job Description:

Radiology Technologist (Xray) needed for 12-hour day shifts in Topeka, Kansas, with weekend requirements every other weekend. The candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, adjust equipment, and ensure quality image production for physician review. The role requires practicing radiation protection, performing maintenance on radiologic equipment, and handling office duties related to patient care and record management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Operate mobile radiologic equipment and perform technical procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to ensure safety.
• Process and review images for accuracy and identification.
• Maintain records and logs of work performed.
• Provide a positive patient experience by explaining procedures and reducing anxiety.
• Prepare images for review by radiologists or requesting physicians.
• Assist in training new staff and students.
• Attend departmental meetings and educational activities to enhance knowledge.

Requirements:

• Certifications: AHA BLS, ARRT, KSBHA LRT.
• All certifications and licenses must be current and valid at the time of submission.
• No pending certifications or licenses, and no negative actions on the license.
