Shift Information

This position will routinely work 4 ten-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. At least one on-call shift is required per week. Work schedules may vary depending on staffing and operational needs.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologist experience.


• Education: Successful completion of an accredited program in MRI with a certificate or associate degree, or equivalent. Completion of ARRT advanced registry in MRI is also acceptable.


• Certifications:
  
  
  
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in MR or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
  
  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of employment.
  
  
  
  


• Preferred Experience: Proficiency with GE MRI systems and EPIC software.

The Imaging Specialist IV MRI is responsible for independently performing clinical diagnostic MRI examinations in line with established department protocols. This role requires the application of standard or modified imaging techniques in accordance with physicians' orders and quality standards.

No specific licensure is required. However, a current State of Hawaii license in any radiologic imaging modality is highly desired.

Work shifts may vary based on need, with potential for rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Standby and callback duty may be required.
