Staff Accountant
What You’ll Do:
The Staff Accountant supports core accounting operations, including bank and credit card reconciliations, bi-weekly payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close activities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, assists with budgeting and intercompany transactions, and maintains compliance with internal policies and banking requirements. The Staff Accountant partners cross-functionally to support efficient, accurate, and timely financial operations across the organization.

What You’ll be Responsible for:
Banking & Reconciliations
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the corporate credit card program and perform credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare reconciliations of accounts on an as needed basis.
Payroll
- Own the bi-weekly payroll processes across all divisions.
- Partner closely with the People Experience team to ensure all necessary employee changes have been properly processed.
- Submit payments to benefit carriers, and other external accounts.
- Reconcile invoices relevant to payroll, such as benefit carrier invoices.
General Ledger & Month-End Support
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
- Support month-end close activities, including posting journal entries and reports.
Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports through data collection and analysis.
Budgeting, Allocations & Intercompany Support
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including gathering data, developing models, and analyzing results.
- Support corporate allocations and intercompany transactions.
Bank Draws & Compliance
- Assist with Construction AIA and provide supporting documentation.
- Help ensure balances tie and remain within approved budget limits.
Systems Setup & Administrative Accounting
- Assist with bank account setup, accounting software maintenance, and chart of accounts updates.
Team & Cross-Functional Support
- Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance & Accounting team as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's of bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or other relevant experience.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial software, such as NetSuite.
- Entrata, Procore, Paycom and/or Toast experience a plus.
- Ability to learn new technology systems and processes quickly.
- Proven experience handling confidential information.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize multiple and varied tasks.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
