Onsite – Manufacturing Environment
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production goals through effective maintenance planning and execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Leadership
- Supervise daily maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of work orders and rapid response to equipment breakdowns
- Schedule, assign, and monitor preventive maintenance for production machinery and support equipment
- Lead and mentor a team of 10–20 maintenance employees, promoting skill development and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
- Coordinate and execute maintenance-related projects to improve efficiency, reliability, and productivity
- Monitor maintenance performance metrics such as downtime, cost control, and completion rates
- Support spare parts inventory management to reduce equipment downtime
- Communicate expectations, priorities, and performance goals to the maintenance team
- Partner with production and other departments to align maintenance schedules and resolve issues
- Serve as a point of contact for maintenance-related concerns and escalate issues as needed
- Review and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Identify and resolve equipment performance issues and irregularities
- Perform other duties as needed to support facility operations
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Post-secondary education (up to 18 months) in engineering, electronics, or a related technical field preferred
- 3–6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
- Understanding of maintenance practices in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards and regulations
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb, crawl, kneel, squat, reach, and twist
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
