MEDICAL ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties include but not limited to:
- Providing contract administrative support to the Medical Logistics Department.
- Developing, managing, and maintaining a comprehensive tracking system for all service contracts under the department's purview to monitor periods of performance, option years, and other key milestones.
- Assisting Government personnel in the preparation and assembly of acquisition package documents, including working with various departments to gather requirements and helping to draft Performance Work Statements (PWS).
- Preparing documents for internal routing and signature by authorized Government personnel, ensuring packages are complete and correctly formatted.
- Preparing and formatting presentations to provide the status of contracts for Command Acquisition Meetings and other required briefings, and presenting contract status data during official meetings as required by authorized Government personnel.
- Monitoring health care delivery plans, market forces, patient and beneficiary demand, and other issues impacting MTF capabilities, capacity, access-to-care compliance, and quality of care.
- Preparing project papers, staff and biometric reports, and other medical administrative correspondence for senior MTF management; conducting studies in support of various projects, programs, processes, or initiatives; and implementing MTF policy and initiatives to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, and quality improvement.
- Performing all duties within the limitations set forth by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to ensure no inherently governmental functions are performed, including not making final decisions on contract awards, not obligating Government funds, and not supervising Government employees.
- Performing other administrative functions as assigned within the scope of the performance work statement.
Position is performed onsite at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD).
Minimum/General Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative, office management, or contract administration role.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for creating documents, managing data in spreadsheets, and preparing presentations..
Minimum Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent required. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen (no foreign passport holders).
- Must be able to pass a Tier 3 background investigation and a Childcare Background Check (CBC), including fingerprint cards for each state of residence.
- Must complete a health examination and immunization screening on the required DHA Contracted Health Care Worker form prior to performance.
Position is contingent upon contract award.
