Three Rivers School District is hiring for the following licensed position for the 2026-27 school year: 

ELD Teacher

Permanent

FTE: 1.0

Valid Oregon Teaching License is required, with ESOL endorsement. Ability to obtain additional endorsements preferred.  Bilingual specialization also preferred, but not required.

Salary: $46,781.33-$91,302.64

JOB SUMMARY: 

 

The ELD Teacher supports and monitors the TRSD, Title III program, K-12. This position provides direct support to teachers and administrators while developing high quality language instruction to support students. Managing district data and reports, as well as state reports is required. The ELD Teacher will provide professional development that would include, but not be limited to, in-class coaching, observing, modeling of instructional strategies, and developing instructional plans with teams of teachers. This position works closely with the ELL Coordinator, Federal Programs Director and team. The ability to speak and write in languages other than English is preferred. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of state standards and the state equity lens.
  3. Demonstrated skills in analyzing and using data and research for instructional decision-making. 
  4. Ability to participate in coaching professional development throughout the year. 
  5. Knowledge and experience with differentiated instruction. 
  6. Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, including how to support collaborative teams in strengthening language programs. 
  7. Travel within District required daily. 
  8. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 
  9. The ability to follow oral and written directions.
  10. The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents and school personnel from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  11. Proficient oral and written communication skills in at least one language, two languages preferred but not required. 
  12. Proficient in the use of computer and internet based applications, including but not limited to email and Google applications.
  13. Ability to learn new systems as they are brought online by the District. 
  14. Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff and district patrons. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment. 
  2. Annually pass the District’s required online training, CPR/First Aid, and other training provided by the District. 
  3. Maintain current licenses and certifications required for the position.
  4. Follow and maintain knowledge of all applicable District policies and procedures; follow and maintain knowledge of all current state and federal laws or administrative rules pertaining to public school teachers. 
  5. Build relationships.
  6. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning; promotes high levels of achievement in relation to individual student abilities. 
  7. Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students; assists in the selection of curriculum, equipment and other instructional materials.
  8. Designs and implements appropriate instruction of subject assigned in accordance with students, District curriculum and state standards. 
  9. Organize instruction using learning objectives and clearly defined student outcomes. 
  10. Selects teaching strategies that emphasize student involvement and engagement. 
  11. Develop clear classroom behavioral expectations. 
  12. Prepares report cards and progress reports; conferences with students, parents/guardians and other staff members; maintains open lines of communication.
  13. Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, curriculum and instructional methods (example: PLC, Site Council). 
  14. Takes all responsible precautions to provide for the health and safety of students and to protect equipment, materials and facilities. 
  15. Participates in District provided professional development. 
  16. Attends work regularly and is punctual. 
  17. Attends staff meetings. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

May supervise and direct the work of educational assistants and/or teacher aides. All school employees  have some responsibility for supervising students and assisting in maintaining a safe environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to  stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision  abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus,  depth perception and peripheral vision.

The work environment is standard classroom and stage settings. The noise level in the work environment  is usually moderate, but occasionally high depending upon student population and activities. Employee  may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
