Madrona Elementary Building Learning Coordinator (BLC)
Licensed Extra Duty - In-District Only
Begins August 2026; for the 2026/27 school year
$1,500/yr.
Summary:
The Elementary Building Learning Coordinator will support the Professional Learning Community implementation, process and professional development at their building. This position will collaborate with administrators, staff and other Building Learning Coordinators.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid teaching license issued by TSPC;
- Excellent organizational and technology skills;
- Effective communication skills;
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators;
- Skilled in data analysis that leads to actionable steps;
- Possesses a desire and willingness to continually learn and improve in teaching strategies and best practices.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Works side by side with the building principal to help each team function more efficiently and effectively;
- Attends district level PLC leadership meetings as requested - this includes admin. meetings and/or BLC leadership meetings. These meetings may be outside of contract hours and/or during the school day where a substitute is needed;
- Regularly meets with building principal;
- Works and communicates with each building grade level team to assess professional development needs;
- Helps to develop, monitor and lead the professional development to support PLCs;
- Helps administrators practice and rehearse the work that teams are expected to do;
- Supports the implementation of PLCs in all classrooms;
- Other duties as assigned.
