What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel - Houseperson position at THREE RIVERS CASINO?
Starting Wage: $17.00 hour
The Houseperson is responsible for supporting the housekeeping department by performing daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning public areas and restocking supplies according to Three Rivers Casino Resort’s high standard of quality and cleanliness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knock and strips bedding, removing soiled lines.
- Provides stayover services.
- Performs removal of room service items.
- Cleans and vacuums hallways, lobbies, elevators, and common areas.
- Empties trash from trash cans, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee station, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting.
- Replenishes and stocks linen rooms and housekeeping supplies.
- Assists with housekeeping inventories as needed.
- Responds to and notifies Housekeeping Team Lead of all guest requests or complaints.
- Addresses guests with a positive upbeat attitude, providing the highest level of guest service according to TRCR’s service commitments.
- Assists with special projects within the Hotel.
- Other duties as directed by management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time. Regularly exposed to dust and fumes from cleaning chemicals while moving between hot and cold environments. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Qualifications:EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
- Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
- Must work cooperatively, with a positive attitude in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
- Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
- Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight hours.
- Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance as needed.
