Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Patient Transportation professional as an on call employee. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from their place of residence, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle various transportation needs.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles for patient transportation, including shuttles, buses, or other designated vehicles.
- Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns during transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks as needed.
- Handle heavy lifting of equipment or medical supplies when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff regarding patient needs and transportation schedules.
- Document transportation activities accurately in compliance with company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with paratransit services and school bus driving is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare staff.
- Experience in limousine or heavy lifting operations is advantageous.
