Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Wedding Floral Designer to join our studio team. This role is ideal for a creative professional with strong wedding floral experience who can confidently lead design execution from concept to completion.
This position includes both in-studio design work and on-site wedding and event installation, overseeing the transformation of venues into beautifully curated floral environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and creation of stunning wedding floral arrangements, including bouquets, centerpieces, arches, and ceremony decor
- Supervise and mentor a team of floral designers, ensuring quality craftsmanship, timely delivery, and adherence to safety standards
- Lead or assist with on-site wedding setup and installation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio workspace
Qualifications
- Prior professional floral design experience (wedding/event experience required)
- Strong portfolio of wedding floral work
- Experience with large-scale installations preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of floral mechanics and conditioning
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with physical work (lifting, standing, transporting florals)
- Reliable transportation to Churchill, MD and event venues
- Weekend availability required during wedding season
Compensation
- Competitive pay based on experience
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
